Snowboard tricktips
Some expressions and tips!
For the beginning: some grabs, you should know ...
INDIE With your back hand you grab the frontside edge of the board (the edge on the toeside of the board) between the bindings.
MUTE With your front hand you grab the frontside edge (the edge on the toeside of the board) between the bindings.
MELON With your front hand you grab the backside edge (the edge on the heelside of the board) between the bindings.
STALEFISH With your back hand you grab the backside edge of the board (the edge on the heelside of the board) between the bindings.
TAILGRAB With the back hand you grab the tail (back end) of your board.
NOSEGRAB With your front hand you grab the nose (front end) of the board.
METHOD You grab the method exactly like the melon, the only difference is, you pull up the board in this trick and stretch out your back leg.
And now some jumps, with which you can demonstrate your skills ...
180° (one-eighty oder auch Einser) Its a jump where you turn your body 180°. If your nose is on front before performing the jump, the tail will be on front after the jump.
360° (three-sixty oder auch Dreier) This is a jump, where you turn a full rotation around your longitudial body-axis. The difficulty here is, that you loose the landing out of your sight for a short glimpse. You have to look in the rotation direction during the whole jump, otherwise you will stop rotating.
FLIP A flip is a turn around your lateral body axis. For example a backflip to the back, a frontflip to the front or a rodeo (a backflip in combination with a 180°)
