Christmas week

The main season traditionally starts for us in the Christmas vacations. Everyone is on vacation - even our ski instructors, who don't have the whole season, like to come back to our team during the Christmas period.

Unfortunately, the start was sobering. Our Mark suffered a serious injury during the training of the new ski instructors. He is now back in Neukirchen and is doing everything he can to be fit on the slopes again next season.

At the start of the course on 22.12., we received a lot of snow on the mountain and were able to really enjoy the deep snow. We also had a white Christmas! The rest of the week ended with perfect weather and sunshine!

New Year's Eve week

Things really got going in New Year's Eve week, as it seems that the whole of Germany arrived in Neukirchen on December 29. The organization team had their hands full trying to get everything under one roof. With a lot of experience and good cooperation, the start of the course in the second week went smoothly.

On December 31, the traditional torchlight run took place, followed by a New Year's Eve party. Will everyone be in top shape on the mountain on New Year's Day? Well, some more, some less. But everything went well and the kids were happy to be able to ski every day of their vacation. With the perfect weather, it was the perfect start to the new year.

Hesse week

A week later, you might think the stress is over, but not here in Neukirchen. Hesse Week is traditionally one of our busiest weeks in winter. As many teachers are back in their normal jobs or at university, we really work up a sweat again. Will it all work out...?

On Monday, we also had a stormy day on the mountain and many courses were postponed to Friday. In hindsight, it turned out that we had done everything right, because the rest of the week was perfect again weather-wise. So in retrospect, the Hesse week will be remembered as very tough, but doable.

Team-Talk with Colin!

"It was great to be in Neukirchen again for three weeks.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to ski this year due to my injury. That's why I tried to pass on all my experience from the last few years to the new ski instructors in the team. I trained them and supported them in their work to prepare them for their job in the best possible way.
I'm already looking forward to being back on the slopes next year."
